For AIA & ASLA professional development and continuing education credits, our principles offer four free educational courses. The details for each course offered are listed below.

Online Education

Course Title: “Stone - Composite Tree Grates”

Provider: Jonite®
This free online course is offered through AEC Daily Online Learning Center

Course Description:

There are many factors to consider in the nurturing and maintaining of urban trees, including those relating to environment (soil, water, climate, etc.), tree rooting conditions, and protection above ground. This course provides a discussion of these factors, along with a review of the surface material options with a focus on stone composite tree grates.

Credit:
The majority of this course is made up of sustainable design information and qualifies for 1.00 USGBC approved GBCI CE Hours.

AIA/CES Learning units: 1.00
AIA approved course. This course qualifies for 1.0 LU/HSW Hour.

Lunch & Learn Presentations

Course Title: "Safety in the Fencing World”

Provider: Omega II Fence Systems.
Omega II Fence Systems is now an approved provider for the ASLA Continuing Education Courses.

Course Description:
An informative and fun presentation and discussion session about the many different fencing options that are available on the market today, and the levels of safety and security each provides. We will present information that will enable you to determine what fencing product fits your project’s safety needs, as well as the aesthetic qualities of each. We will review the different fencing materials offered and how to determine which materials work best for different applications and scenarios. We will also provide information that describes various anchoring approaches and techniques to ensure that the desirable level of security is maintained on your installed fence. Lastly, we will provide an overview of the installation & maintenance processes required to ensure your fence safety requirements are maintained.

Our presentation "Safety in the Fencing World", will earn you 1 credit in the Health, Safety & Welfare category for the ASLA Continuing Education Courses.

Course Title:
“Uses, Applications & Advantages of Perforated Metal, Wedge Wire & Profile Bar”

Provider: Hendrick Screen

Course Description:

“Wood Plastic Composites – History and Influences on Current Modern Building Technologies”

Course Description:
This program is designed to provide a thorough understanding of modern wood plastic composite technology and current project applications.
